Managing Your Signs

Learn how to update and delete signs that you've added

Deleting a sign

To delete a sign from a library, first go into the sign library menu by tapping the book icon in the top left hand corner of the home screen. Then tap on the name of the library that you want to delete a sign from.

Press and hold on the name of the sign to delete it.

The app will request your confirmation before deleting the sign. Deleting a sign is unrecoverable, so once you confirm, you’ll never be able to get it back.

Recording an example of a sign

To record an example for a sign, first navigate to that sign’s page, by going into the sign library menu by tapping the book icon in the top left hand corner of the home screen and tapping on the name of the library that the sign is in. Next, find the sign in the list of signs within that library and tap on it.

To add the example, press the “Add Example” button. Following the instructions on the screen, press the button to start recording, perform your sign once and then press stop. You’ll then be asked to either confirm the new recorded example, or to try again.

For best results, try to minimise the amount of time and movement recorded before and after the sign itself. If you need to, ask someone else to help you by pressing the button in the app.

While unnecessary for the vast majority of users, if you aren’t as consistent when signing, you can choose to record more than one example of each sign in order to improve accuracy.
